Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.

Crime Stoppers provides a telephone number and Web Tips to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.

Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.

When viewing these pages, please note a criminal charge is an accusation.  The defendant or suspect is assumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

This is photo of Deputy Todd Fraizer and Lucas who were both injured in Hancock County when Deputy Fraizer stopped to do a welfare check on a vehicle at the rest stop at Hwy 90 and Lower Bay Road.
The incident occurred on 5-18-15 at approx.-10 p.m. Upon approaching the vehicle , the Deputy was assaulted by two black males in their 30's, who approached from the cover of darkness. The driver of the vehicle also participated in the assault, whereas the Deputy was dragged toward the wooded area, and threats were made to cutting the Deputy's throat. The Deputy was successful in reaching his panic button, which allowed his K-9 to be released from his patrol vehicle. Lucas(K-9) was successful in intervening in the assault and the suspects fled with Lucas in pursuit. We believe that Lucas did bite one or more suspects in this incident. Deputy Fraizer suffered lacerations to his forehead and Lucas also sustained injuries. The suspect's vehicle is described as a late model 2000- 2006 Lincoln Town Car design. The car may be a make and model similar to a Lincoln Town car. Medium blue in color, dark top and custom chrome wheels.
